Krewe of Wrecks Red Beans and Rice Luncheon

The Bean Team at the Elk's Lodge spends days planning and preparing the traditional New Orleans style Monday fare.

The spicy red beans and rice are ladled into bowls by the volunteers from the Pensacola Beach Woman's Club.  Thousands come for the free meal - Dining tables are lined up in the parking lot.

Workers on their lunch hours dance with costumed krewe members under the tent.

Drinks are available for sale.  Tip jars collect cash to donate to local charities.
