The magic of Mardi Gras casts a spell over the island and its carefree inhabitants. Mardi Gras events, parties and parades -

if it happens on the island, find out about it here.

Mardi Gras Maven

I applaud the Mardi Gras spirit of the local krewes. They open their parade and Mardi Gras balls, parties to the public. Allowing them to experience Mardi Gras like a local - - if only for one weekened.

OH the rhinestones. It's like a red carpet event when the area's Queens meet for a sumptuous supper at Flounder's tonight. The tickets are gone. Snapped up quickly for the wonderfully sparkly event.

Ball gowns are at a premium this week. I found a lovely selection at Elite Repeats, in the Publix Shopping Center in Gulf Breeze.

Be lovely. Be gracious. Mardi Gras beads are not jewelry.
