7 p.m. Friday, February 7 at Whiskey Joe’s on Pensacola Beach Boardwalk. The all female Krewe of Nereids will be decked out in their top hats and tuxedo tails adorned with glittering sequins and rhinestone pins with added blink and dazzle lights on their costumes. Participants are encouraged to wear Mardi Gras colors and the zaniest hat you can find. Not that there is a dress code for this informal event, but the hat can help deflect the Moon Pies that come sailing into the crowd at regular intervals. The music plays on and the dancing never ends. No admission fee. Cash bar. All are welcome, always a good time.
