The Krewe of Wrecks is the original Pensacola Beach Mardi Gras krewe.
Founded in November of 1979 by Jane Waters Cooper, Frank Douglas and Larry Geisel, the rollicking Wrecks charted the course for Mardi Gras on the Island.
Krewe membership is open. Applications and payment are accepted at the Monday night meetings. Meetings begin at 6 p.m. the first Monday before Halloween, weekly.
